who wants to work 120 hours a week just to survive and feed their family? Wages should be satisfactory enough for a person to live above the poverty level and not have to work 16 hours a day or more. Get a clue!!

If you're up for more hours, absolutely. Let them know the you are on call if they are short someone. Ask them if there is any position that might interest you that pays more. Don't just ask them all these questions, search other places of employment. And always wear a great attitude on your shoulders. Everybody respects that.

actualyl it depends....allow me to explain...

Its all relative to the "needs" of that business. For example, in high volume periods, such as Christmas, most businesses will recommend employees work extra hours.

What i suggest is you speak to a supervisor and explain your situation that you would like extra hours because of so-and-so reasons (make it good -- e.g. to pay for dental work or to pay rent) and they might be able to sympathize and see what they can do...So although their needs may not require one to work extra hours, your situation may allow them to bend that rule for ya.
