my computer keeps popping up a dialopg box tha says AUTOPLAY and a flashlight searching.... wht the heck is this? it just started today and I havent downloaded anythng

there is no disk in the drives.

i have a laptop, and no i-tunes, or mp3 player or anything else

if you have itunes, it's just an annoying thing that has to happen every time your ipod gets updated. and it updates your ipod every time a song finished playing, or changes at all.
otherwise, it coud just be because there is something in one of your CD drives. try pressing all the buttons you can see, and unplugging all of the cords except the power cord and the monitor cord. just keep track of everything so you don't mess up your computer too badly.

usualy, it comes up when you attach a removable disk, or a cd. when it pops up, slect do nothing, and then check always perform this action, and it will stop!

Do you have anything in one of the cd drives? aka a disc?
