It's a terrible decision. $300 a week may look like a lot of money now, but it's peanuts. Without a good education, you can't really expect to rise about that, maybe ever. Years down the road, you may want to go back to school, but it's going to be a lot harder then: You'll have to study at night while you work during the day, still desperately making ends meet. Your friends who have studied will move on in life, make much more than you and will be doing all sorts of things you only wish you could do. It's cool you're able to do something with your band and I don't think you should give that up, but you'll definitely want a plan B.
Best of luck to you.

Let me see, how to put this nicely. Are you on crack or coke? you better stay in school an get a college education.Money 2000.00 a month- rent 400.00 + phone 50. eletcricity 100. food 300. car payment 350.(low end) insurance for car 150. gas 120. a month cell phone 50. Internet service 50. medical, clothing, party money, and all of those little household emergencies. Are you getting the picture now, In most cases you can double these prices. Two of my son's both grads set out on there on, they had it all worked out no problems, we got it covered we know what where doing ect. Then six months later were back broke and behind on our truck payments and so on. Don't make the same mistake that they did. Life with Mom and Dad has its draw backs but it sure beats going hungry and dodging bill collector phone calls. so you answer your on question and figure is this where you want to go. Also my boy's both make 30+ a year

Thats horrible. U cant depend on a band, No one is gonna give a 16 year old an apartment. And u FIGURE u can pull 300 from a day job? I WISH i wouldve stayed home longer. If anything, get a job and SAVE your money, living on your own costs a lot these days. And school is VERY important, its hard to get a job with no diploma!

I did it when I was 16 and it worked for me but I got some lucky breaks, you never want to steer yourself towards failure. I never did finish school and when you are that young it will not seem important and will get put off!!! Take this as a strong warning to not do it, I have been in your shoes it is not as simple as it seems!!!
Living with someone changes things, what if he moves out or becomes unemployed, now you are left to pay the bills.

I am almost 55 years old and graduated in 1970. My College was "UOHK" University of Hard Knocks. DO NOT DO IT!!!!!
You will suffer in career, and everything. Education is the key to your future.
I had very good positions in Law Enforcement and accounting, but it was not weasy without a degree and never got the best.
Do not do it!!!

Stick it out and finish high school first. Trust me four years isn't really that long compared to the rest of your life. And it's REALLY hard to make it in the music business, but who know maybe you will.

What will you do if you get sick and can't go to work.... you don't get benefits or sick pay or vacation time.
Minimum wage jobs only pay you for the days you show up.
An education will allow you to be in control of your life....with no education you will be working for the rest of your life....paycheck to paycheck.
Stay in school......please.
