Neither, they ended up knocking each other out causing both of them to be eliminated.

I actually skipped this part when I ran through the series the first time because I didn't think it was a big deal.
MAN was I wrong! for the 2 ex-best friends fight it was very good!
but yes like everyone else said lol It was a tie, they both punched each other out. But Ino regained consciousness first ;)

It was a tie because both were equally matched. They then both were eliminated and did not go to the next round.

No one won, it was a tie, they have equal strength which cause them to both be eliminated. And they did go to the tournament. They were in the stands, next to Chouji...
