Okay so I'm going to be wearing this blue dress to my school's winter formal (it's quite a big deal here, bigger than homecoming and prom)

and I was thinking maybe red lipstick would look smashing with it, since I really do not want to do the smoky eye look

I like it
I think it would look better on a person who was fair
compared to a person who was tanned
Then the lipstick would pop on the skin, and it would look awesome
If you aren't, I think I would tone down the lipstick colour, especially if you're tanned and go for a more peachy colour that will blend in.
Then people will see the beautiful tan and the beautiful dress.

i really like the whole red lipstick and blue dress look. But just keep in mind, dont get lipstick with orange undertones, try to find some with blue. Plus, blue-undertoned lipstick makes your teeth look whiter! the lip stuff in the link looks perfect for what u had in mind,

I wouldn't go with a bright red if you're wearing a bright blue. Something light and soft would be amazing. Like a nude or a color that's a shade darker then your actual lip color. Not to dark though. Good Luck with it.

Love the dress but the red lipstick won't do it.
Try a silvery mauve lipstick. It would look smashing.
Also use a similar blush. Have fun.

I would say no...but if u tried a darker red or just a soft like pink(and apply some gloss over it) that would look good. But not a Bright red..

maybe you could try pink lipstick (the light ones and add some gloss) it'll be perfect. so try it or you could just use lip gloss. but don't try the blue ones because you'll look like a rebel.

i wouldnt do that because it is so so red, u should do more of a pink or you could try a lipgloss , you can get any of the colors that u would like @ target,aeropostale( lipgloss) ,jcpenny, walmart, mac, von maur)

i say... go for it. maybe try a brighter red and accesorize with chunky jewlery for an eclectric look. i hope you have fun at your winter formal. and, your dress is beautiful.
