depending on what brand the baby needs to use it can cost anywhere from 18 dollars to 35 dollars. It also matters where your located. In larger areas you might expect to pay a bit more than others. There is also the matter of how much to buy. Most people buy larger cans becuase its cheaper to buy in bulk. 24 oz is the average size most people purchase. Two 24 oz powder cans is usually what an average person will purchase a week. Liquid is more expensive becuase you get less but its already made up. Just check out sites like www.drugstore.com to compare prices. There are other sites you can compare prices. Just remember to compare powder to powder and liquid to liquid.
Hope this helps.

It probably depends on where you live. And what age the baby is.

A baby that is 2 weeks old might drink 2 oz every 2 hours or so (24 hours around the clock). (I breastfed so I am estimating) My baby is nine months now and drinks 8 oz about 4 or 5 times a day.

You can look up price per once in your area easily and figure that out. I spend about $50 a week for powdered formula for a nine month old.

We just bought about a years supply in bulk. We got 48 cans of Kirkland (Costco) brand, 1lb 9.7oz cans for $8/each (each can lasts us about a week). At Costco, it is about $10/can. For the name brand formula (Similac, Enfamil) it would cost about $22/week.

Prices vary depending on what brand you buy and there are sooo many types. A few examples...Emphamil cost about $27.00 for a big can....Walmart brand....$13.86 for the same size can. You really need to go to your local grocery store and look at the prices...there sooo many!!!
