I'm not sure if the things im feeling are early labor or not? I have read all my book, but I cant compare what im feeling to anything they say you should be feeling so maybe some of you guys will be able to explain it or let me know whats going on in a more first time mommy way! :)
I get sharp pains in my lower tummy that last maybe a 4-5 seconds
My lower back hurts
I feel sharp pain in my crotch and butt. Its like a hard pain!!! But lasts no more than 5 seconds and then comes again in about 30 mins, but not every 30 mins.
And my tummy will feel like the baby is balling up, it will hurt and be unconfrotable but then after a minute or two it will stop?
I have noo idea if any of this will make sence to any of you, im sorry Im trying my best!!!
I was due on Wednesday.. So i think maybe this is the beging of labor? And I have not lost my mucos plug yet either?? Any help will be very much appreciated, Thanks!

It sounds to me like false labor. Try changing positions or taking a warm bath...if the pains are still there then it could very well be true labor. If it were true labour the pains will get stronger, longer and closer together. If the pains are coming every 5 to 10 minutes and lasting for about a minute, then I would suggest that you call your doctor and head for the hospital.
Good luck!

Sometimes the mucus plug comes out in pieces and is clear so it mixes with your natural increase in discharge and passes unnoticed, so its not uncommon that you haven't seen yours being lost....
The pains in your crotch sound like sciatic nerve pressure from the baby pushing down.. a definite sign that labor is upon you.
The sharp pains sound more liek round ligament pains then anything, but an increase in round ligament pains are also a sign that labor is upon you.
Back pains can be contractions, same as that "balling up" feeling. Time them, when they either become unbarable or are 5 mins apart lasting for 1 minute at a time, then you gotta head over to the hospital.
Take a hot bath, if this eases the pains then it's definitly not labor, or is just pre-labor.
Good thing is that you only have to make it antoher week and then your finished anyway. Best of luck to ya

The best suggestion I can give you is to go for a good, long walk. If the pain doesn't go away with a walk, then it probably is the beginnings of labor. If it really is labor, chances are that walking will help you along -- the pains will get stronger, longer and closer together. If the pains are coming every 5 to 7 minutes and lasting for a couple minutes, then I would suggest that you call your doctor and head for the hospital. Good luck!

Well I didn't really think you were having contractions until you said your tummy felt like the baby was balling up. That is a contraction. You could be in early labor but it is hard for anyone on-line to say for sure. IF it is real labor, it won't stop. Not losing your mucous plug means nothing. You can lose it during full blown labor. Not EVERYONE looses theirs before labor begins. Just relax. drink some water and lay on your left side.. remember to relax.....breathe... try to fall asleep... if it is true labor, it will wake you up.. you won't be able to sleep thru true labor.. (at least not the kind of labor that makes things happen). If you're still home tomorrow, get up, and go for a walk...if its too cold out..go to a mall.. walking could bring on labor too... just remain relaxed.. it will allow your cervix to dilate easier... I have trouble relaxing.. my first 3 babies were difficult... i did relaxation with my 4th pregnancy.. and my labor/delivery was much easier.

I did not lose my mucus plug when I gave birth to my second child. It sounds like your in the beginning stages of labor. Labor pain is different for everyone...I knew I was in true labor when my contractions came every 2-3 minutes and I could not walk, talk, or do anything during the contractions. If you are concerned....call your obgyn or midwife and let them know what's going on...they may have you go onto the hospital since you are over due!!! Good luck and congratulations!!!

when u feel like the baby is balling up, that's how my contractions felt when they started my first pregnancy. It could just still be braxton hicks, but it depends on the frequency. IF they are still 30 minutes apart, it could be the real thing, but you might as well wait as long as possible before going to the hospital. I waited until they were 5 minutes apart and hurting, and still had to wait another 8 hours in the hospital. (while being on oxytocin to speed it up) Here's a link to signs of labour. this is the best explanation i've gotten. especially look at the difference between false labour and true labor as far as timing, and the section on when to go to the hospital. Hope THIS made sense. lol. and hope it helped.

Well more then likely you are in the early stages of labor. 95% of women dont know when they lose mucos plug. Walk, it helps moves labor along. Also stay up and try not to sit down the pracher of the baby on your your cirvex will help it then out and dialate. Good luck and hope it's your time.

First of all, hard work might probably begin at any second. Anything previous to 36 weeks is pre-time period hard work and isn't what you desire. Anything after that regardless that is regarded complete-time period and the child might be best. Second of all, now not all females honestly holiday their bag of water previous to lively hard work. Most are already within the clinic and having consistent contractions earlier than the water breaks. Third, there are not any indicators that your water is gonna holiday. It simply does. And whilst it does, you can realize it. I enormously advise that you just get the booklet "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and browse up on a lot of these matters. There are plenty of indicators and signs you must be conscious of to support you larger verify whilst you're in hard work.

You don't necessarily have to lose your mucous plug to be in labor. I lost mine during labor ...maybe 5 cm... When you have regular contractions and menstrual like cramps...and the dull pain that goes around to the back as well. If you keep getting those contractions and they get stronger and more consistent..I would assume you are in labor and to call your doctor. Good Luck! :)

I just wanted to tell you that i am due on 1/26. I have alot of your same symptoms. I have been told that these are all good, normal signs, but you may still be another week or 2. I did lose my plug on Xmas eve. It doesn't really mean anything. Some women don't lose them at all. My mom didn't.
Hold on tight, let me know when you have your baby, and i will tell you when i have mine.
