Here in the Uk we do get the Super Bowl with commentators from our commantary. In recent years though there has been a choice of listening to them or the American team.
The UK commentators aim their commantary at those of us who don't know the game that well.

Host broadcasters. I find this to be true with soccer especially. Whenever I get the chance to watch the English Premier League, I find that the local broadcasters have a tremendous sense of the league, and can offer more in the way of background than if American broadcasters were doing the same game. Imagine if some English broadcasters came from overseas to handle the Super Bowl broadcast. No way that they would be as well-versed as Jim Nance and Phil Simms.
