my best friend is dating a guy that's 21 years older than her.
i wanna support my friend,
but i really don't think it's a good idea.

he's her manager at work.

Your are absolutely right, it is not a good idea to support her and her decision on dating a guy so much older than she is.
Explain to your friend that you are worried for her. Tell her you are not asking her to choice between the two of you. Tell her you love her and you will be there for her anytime she needs you. But for the time being you will probably have to back off and just wait until she sees the light and she will go to you.
Meanwhile go on with your life, look for a nice guy to meet and go out with him and enjoy your life. Don't make yourself unhappy about a situation you have no control over.
Does her parents know about this relationship? Don't volunteer the information purposely. Whenever you run into her Mom or sister etc. or when you know she is not home, go there and when they say no she's out, just innocently ask if she's with this guy? They will begin to investigate themselves and you will not be involved.
Is your friend on the pill? Remind your friend about the pill, because she is way to young to get pregnant and believe me this guy at his age will be in her pants within hours.
Than you can support her, because she will be hurt and heart broken. People learn by their mistakes. Nobody wants to hear their decisions are not the right ones. Never tell her "I told you" just be ready with open arms to give her a big hug.

It probably isn't a good idea. There's got to be something wrong with his guy. An easy way to take care of this would be to introduce her to another guy who's crazy about her and might be a little more appropriate for her. I did this to my best friend after she had been dating an older man for 5 years. He was very possessive and turned out to be married. I knew this from the beginning, it just took me a long time to get some proof. He really had her fooled. Good luck!

dude. it's bad news. get her parents involved. i dated a guy twice my age when i was 16. it was bad news. my parents and best friend and some other family had like an intervention with me. then my dad threatened him that if i ever saw the guy again, he'd call the police and he'd go to jail.
at any rate. she's still legally a minor. when she turns 18 all you can do is tell her it's not that great of an idea. but for now you need to do something about it.
he's bein kinda pervy too, don't ya think??

Well, I've heard of age differences before, but that's a little awkward. Hopefully it's possible that she could try getting a little closer to her age group, I'd say at least 20 years closer. That sounds like a better idea.

That's a little too old I think, But she is going to do what she is going to do. Just let her do what she is doing and she will eventually get out of the relationship.

well i think he is a little young:( but me and my husband r 13 years apart:) I'm 40 and he is 27 and we been married for almost 2 years and he is the best thing that ever happen to me :) but i really think 17 is to young :)

She is too young and it is wrong. Tell her parents. He will go to jail and should go to jail for what is it doing.
