Putting movies on vieo ipod using PSP Video 9??

Question

My DVD ripper and encrypter rips the DVD just fine into my hard drive. But, how do I copy them to my video iPod?? Can I use PSP Video 9? I use it for movies i downloaded from limewire. But the file that shows up from ripping from the dvd are different. Is there a differents "settings" i have to put it on in psp 9 to convert those particular movie files that i got from the dvd? Please, any help.
