This depends: are we talking a general overview kind of happiness or to cheer me up when I'm having a less than happy day? For the later I like to take my dog out to the lake behind our apartment and throw the toy we're playing with. If I'm sad I can just sit there and mope while she has so much fun it eventually rubs off. If it's an anger problem I can throw that d*ed toy as hard as I want, and she doesn't mind--actually enjoys the longer run. To establish and maintain a general feeling of emotional well being, I suggest finding something that makes you feel at peace that will always happen on a regular basis. For me that's watching the sunrises or sunsets (depending when I can wake up at that point) on a weekly basis. Living in Tampa, FL I can make a 30 minute drive to see the sun set over Clearwater beach, or drive 15 minutes up one of the toll roads into a more rural outskirt to the town and watch the sun rise over cattlefields. I find that this really helps put the rest of my week into perspective. And no matter how crazy sh! can get, the sun will always be here tomorrow.

Take a nap, read a book, sing with the radio, eat a lot of ice cream, drive a car, ride a bike, go running, eat mac-n-cheese, kill a bug, talk on the phone, IM someone, write in a journal...the list goes on.

well when when i wan't to feel happier i get my money and my purse and go shopping leave the phone at home and just treat you'r self to what ever!Or just eat,and eat till you can't eat any more!Or you could go to a funny comedy show that it always fun and an good time.

Practice random acts of kindness- if you feel down/bad, do something nice/unexpected for someone else. The way their face lights up will help you feel better instantly:)
