Yes, it's very normal, but, unfortunately, there's not a whole lot you can do about it.
The digestive track slows down when a woman becomes pregnant, causing excess gas to build up. It can become very painful, especially in late pregnancy.
The best thing for you to do is watch what you eat. Broccoli, legumes (beans), artificial sweeteners, onions, carbonated beverages, cabbage, and drinking through a straw can cause excess gas. If it gets to be a serious problem, ask your OBGYN or midwife at your next visit.

This is extremely common. It happens because there is too much pressure in the body that may cause the muscles to contract and cause you to fart. Also cutting down on soda and dairy products may help a lot. Soda contains a lot of "gas-inducing" substances. Milk has something in it that may cause you to become bloated and make you extremely gassy.

Yes especially when they eat rich foods. also vegetable cause gas build up too. It can occur at any time in pregnancy. Not all pregnant women fart when they have gas though.

OMFG! This is obviously the same person asking this question. Because the words "gassy" and "fart" come up in every question. Heard of the word flatulence, it means fart...Use that in your next question!!!!! Yes broads fart, guys fart. and yes pregnant woman fart, my neighbors dog farts, my grandma farts, my boss farts.
