"Going out" means that you are boyfriend/girlfriend with someone. That you do things with this person, hug/kiss and stuff like that. To be honest, you're only 12 and should not be "Going out" with anyone. Concentrate on school right now, boys will only bring you down and cause you trouble. It's good to have friends but stick to being only friends with these boys. You have the rest of your life ahead of you to worry about boyfriends/girlfriends!!! Good luck!

If a boy says "will you go out with me?" He is asking you to be his girlfriend. When I was 12, I think I had three boyfriends the whole year (but not at the same time). My mom called it "phone dating", because we never really went anywhere, and most of our conversations ended with "You hang up first." "No you hang up first!". That went on for like 45 minutes. It also means that you already have someone to go to school dances with. But if I learned anything about 12 year olds, its that they think nothing of breaking up, and asking someone else out the same day. It's like practice dating.

Ok, I have a 12 year old & I understand they kiss on the bus after deciding to "go out". They dont actually "go" anywhere. Theyre kids. BTW I've warned against this behavior at this tender age. I hope it worked.

It means that you will go out somewhere on a date with someone. Or it could mean that you will date someone without dating anyone else... So you will date one person and they will be your boyfriend or girlfriend and no one else can.

1. You should not date at age 12! That is really young, and no, I am not old, I am a teen too.
2. But what it means is basically you hang out at eachothers house or watch a movie.

If someone is going out with someone, it means that they have a boyfriend or girlfriend that kiss.
Just plain going out, such as 'I'm going out today", means you're leaving the house to go do something.

Well my friends that are 13 just go to the movies... No kissing or sex. They just hang out and 'call' each other boy and girl friend.

Usually at that young age it means that two young kids like each other/are "crushing" on one another but the extent of their "going out" is seeing each other at school and exchanging glances or smiles, and hanging out at recess or lunch.
