From the typical homophobe’s speeches comes this:
“Homosexuality is a sin, if you’re living a life of sin, you’re going to Hell; Tolerance toward sin is a bad idea too.
It is reported that some homophobes are actually closet homosexuals.
Worst cases include:
Homosexuality is a choice; same-sex marriage could lead to calls for nuptials with goats; God create Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve (this one is a classic one, I’d rather smash a hammer on my fingers, than hearing that one more time)
If you’ll stick around, you will notice some of the most pathetic samples right here. Not very educated, they have a frightening spelling problem, not very smart either, they keep asking the same stupid questions over and over; multiple yahoo accounts (usually they ask a question using account #1, then they answer using account #2)
They have so much fun, I can almost hear them laughing, for the stupid things they say.

The dictionary definition has been on here several times for you, so I won't get into that. I was reading a question the other day and someone made a comment about homophobia not really existing because people are allowed to disagree with what they want, and altought the way it was phrased was kind of uncool, the gist of it made sense to me. People are allowed to disagree with what they want, but I think that when you let that turn into something ugly and hurful and damaging to others that is when it would become "homophobia." Someone answered this question along the same lines about how it's a label slapped on every person who doesn't agree with the lifestyle, and I'm afraid that may be close to the truth. Although I have a really hard time understanding why a person could be against what is basically a different form of love (cheesy, I know), it's hard to say we should all be accepted for our choices, yet not accept others for theirs (such as not being a fan of homosexuality). It does really bother me when people come on the LGBT section though and tell everyone their living in sin, if I'm totally honest.

phobia means fear. homopobia is the fear of homosexuals. some people are confused of who is a homophobic. it is not some one who does not agree or condoan it, that is wrong. a homophobic is someone who do not like homoexuals simply because they are homosexual and wish harm to them. like in my opinion, the KKK who disliked african americans (people of color) jus because they are who they are and that is wrong in my eyes. i think homophobics should take a look at themselves before they can pass judgement on us or anybody else

Rejection of a whole group of gay men out of a fear of not being worthy to receive love from other gay men.
Straight guys who hate gay men are scared that if we try and seduce them that they will actually ENJOY themselves. Which is a shame.
Straight women who hate gay men do so out of a fear that we have the power to 'steal' their boyfriends away from them. Which is laughable.
