Picture this: You're stranded on a deserted island (like in the movie Cast Away) or in the jungle (like that girl who returned home after 18 years in the jungle) or if you are stranded in a forest in the middle of the Rockie Mountians.

Could you survive with basicly the clothes on your back and what little else you had? Do you have the mind, the training, the instinct to find food, make shelter, stay as sane as possible and find your way out? I'm not talking about people in general. I want to know if honestly you think you could survive?

Yes I could with no Problems I used to spend weeks in the woods growing up I learned what was edible and what was not I have eaten grubs , worms, every thing I caught in my traps was eaten I never waisted anything . Hides were saved and sold...... living in the wild really is not that bad if you know what you are doing ....... I was thinking of writing a book or maybe teaching a course on survival.......If I would have had some duct tape and more then my pocket knife I would have built a single bedroom cabin instead of a lean-too ...... lol
Seriously it is not something I would recommend without proper training....

Yes. Survival in the wild is simple. Find something to eat. Find water to drink. Keep warm or cool. Use anything you can find to build shelter, tools.

Survival in the wilds without tools takes an ability to innovate, adapt and plan. You want to make hunting/fishing tools as soon as possible. Gathering berries and other type of vegetable sustinance is okay, but you will need protien for the enormous amount of energy you will need to travel, build shelter, and search/hunt for more food.

Nope - I'd be a goner. Probably could last a week or two but past that I don't think so. I have no camping, hunting, fishing or survival experience. Have a hard enough time surviving in the working world.

No, I probably would not last very long. If I'm stuck anywhere where it gets very cold or there are a lot of spiders....I'm a goner! I don't have enough training to find food or make a shelter. I could probably stay sane, but that won't do much good if I'm starving to death.

I think maybe I can but I'm not so sure.

Maybe I'll have to look around for fruits to eat.
Try to make shelter, weapons, fire...etc.

Now that you asked this question, I feel like I gotta go read some survival book or something.
