I've read many books about Japan, some say the Japanese hate foreigners, and some say the opposite. I've heard more of the "Hate Foreigners". However, I have spoken to a person who was born and lived in Japan and is PURE JAPANESE, and she says that they love foreigners! Please answer this ONLY if you are pure Japanese/from Japan or you have been to Japan and stayed for a long time or lived there.

I have loads of Asian friends...why is that? Because they hate gaijin? No way...There's racism everywhere...But nowadays in Asia it's a show -off thing to have a white boyfriend...this means to me, that Asian people have utmost respect towards foreigners...they want to learn everything about foreigners...look at the statistics...how many young asians are going to Europe, America, Canada, Australia for a gap year?...millions...is it because they hate it? i wouldn't think so...

This is different for everyone in Japan. I live in America, but my parents are Japanese. I've been to Japan, some people are rude, some people are really nice. Some Japanese people do find American people/English(as a language) cool. Just don't say "konichiwa" in a bad accent to every person you meet, or talk about ninjas, or anything stereotypical.
