There are people who love and understand philosophy and there are those who don't get it, try to say philosophical things and they just don't come out right?
Or people that have religious beliefs who think they are special, or saved.. or they are right.

Who is more special/blessed with knowledge of the divine:

A Philosophical Person

Or Religious person

or are we all the same because we have a right to believe what we want ??

The philosophical person will dig deeper than the religious one. The religious persons ability to think critically only goes as far as their interpretation of the bible takes them. They're the limited sheep, where as the philosophical person has the endless universe to explore. Essentially, they both pretty much are the same, they're seekers using different vessels to attain better understanding. There is no special one.

This is truly a difficult question, one I would expect from you, as little as I know you at all.

I would consider myself to be more of a philosophical person than a religious one, but i try not to let that hinder my perspective of the question. I think there is a fine line between both philosophy and religion, because who REALLY knows whats out there??

Everyone is going to believe what they believe, and it is the individuality of the person that makes them who they are, and that is their right. I only fear that far too many of these humans are too distracted and disillusioned, to look deep enough into either religion or philosophy, to know what they really believe themselves..

Both the religious and philosophical persons run the risk of heightened pride and ego. Whoever between them can have a strong belief in their own views and yet make due allowance for others with any opposing or different views is 'Special'!!

well if it was just with knowledge then i'd say both, the of the divine is tricky but if you take the escape route and say that god blessed us with thought so both are essentially blessed then yeah that works but then are the religious fanatics more close to the divine or the platonists or the aristotelians or the kantians or etc. if we separate it like that, we're just believing in someone elses thoughts and not really close to anyone but man who--rumor has it--is not that divine. but from a soul searching divine as in answer point of view i'd still say both as they are trying to make some sense of what we have been given in light of what actually happen to us.

A philosophical person because philosophy encompasses religion as a sub-set.

The most precise answer for me must be the religious person.

I think ANYONE who takes any time at all to think about the divine, or has beliefs they follow, is special.

The one who understands. You may know something but if you do not understand it ...what good is it?
