Ever scince i read of mice and men, There has been some quote or book by john steinbeck popping up in my face. Am I crazy or did this happen to you to?

I have read all his books and yes I have seen many quotes and jokes about his work. Rush lyrics, king of the hill jokes, king of queens had a joke to name a few.

An allusion is a reference to a well-known character, place, or a certain event in history, music, art, or even another piece of literature. A cultural allusion would most likely be a reference to some figure or group within society. For example, a recent House episode featured an Obama campaign sticker in the background. That could be considered a cultural allusion referencing to the 2008 Presidential Election. Find something in the story that fits. I haven't read the story in about a year, so I can't be completely positive on what an example within the novel would be. I hope I helped some at the least.

I come across his writing only once in a fortnight. It happens to some people like I always keep bumping in Dan Brown.
