so, i was cooking something in my oven and it caught on fire. i grabbed some water and didnt splash it all in there, just sprinkled it in with my fingers and pulled it out. now the oven doesnt work. the pilot is on, just no gas comes out. i watched it turn bright orange and nothing happened, no flame. so i put a lighter under there to see if it would catch, but nothing. what is wrong? i dont know. im speculating using it for a while.... oops.

You have a bad ignitor. Even though it is glowing it is not drawing enough current to open the gas valve. You may have damaged the ignitor or it is just a coincidence.

I think you just done something very dangerous sticking a lighter in there like that. Do you smell any gas at all? I think I would replace the pilot anyway, maybe it did screw it up somehow, or the valve that lets the gas out.
