I had to wait, but I hurt my back real bad and wouldn't be able to get out! But you can do it right away!
Question: When can I take a bath or a hot tub again after delivery?
Answer: Most care providers agree that tub baths are safe immediately following delivery. Taking a tub bath after delivery can be therapeutic. The warm water can soothe the episiotomy repair and ease swollen hemorrhoids. It can also help to ease the tension and fatigue that go along with having a new baby at home. If you have had a cesarean section, you may be asked to wait a week or so until your abdominal incision is well on the way to healing. Talk to your care provider for exact instructions.

You can have a bath as soon as u give birth if u like there is no medical reason not too. The only think u want to be careful of is using bath soaps and stuff. It is wise to use an antiseptic soap to gently cleanse ur body. I had an episiotomy with my first child and I was told to bathe is salty water to help with the healing process. My second child left tearing and I was told once again that a bath can be very soothing. Hope this helps

I just remember not even wanting to take a bath until after I knew for sure that my episiotomy was healed completely. At the 6-week check-up at the OB, she confirmed that it was okay to take a bath. You feel so icky afterwards that you don't really want to submerge in the bath anyway. I'd wait the 6 weeks minimum.

Take all the baths you want. I have four kids, and I never had any restrictions in bathing. As matter of fact, I was told to take a bath to clean my episiotomy stitches. Not to mention, it soothed my cramping tummy, and helped me epress milk. I couldn't imagine having to stand in the shower long enough to clean anything. I was always sorta hunched over for the first week. I'm not sure what the rules are if you had a c-section though.

I took a bath right away.
I was told baths were recommended over showers because they help clean the perenium area better. I gave birth naturally both times, no episiotomy, no epidural, no tears or stitches, so I guess that should be taken into consideration.
Honestly, I think this is a question for your doc or midwife- they know your situation better.

Not for a while. Puppies pass by means of odor/smell, peculiarly earlier than their eyes open. Whelping is usually a messy approach, however a sensible sponge down at the back of is all that is wanted for mum, early days. She could have a discharge for a few little whilst after whelping. I'd now not deliver her a whole bathtub for no less than three weeks...... and more commonly longer. If her coat is messy again there, deliver the discipline a trim again to aid. And correct now, it is more commonly going to pressure her to be taken clear of her dogs.
