Take an empty two liter bottle, cut about a half-inch hole in the bottle about midway. On the bottom of the bottle put in maple syrup or a type of sugar water, then unroll and wind in a roll of the sticky fly tape, put the cap on and that should be it. The flies will enter through the small hole and become stuck to the fly tape, hope this helps!

We have a big garden and grow lots of veggies.
I take a 5 Qt empty ice cream container and lay a piece of damaged fruit or veggie inside, leave it a few hours (or
overnight) then quickly snap the lid on and take it way out in the back yard and dump it out.
Works for me.
But the fly strip works too.

they are carnivores, so as that they received't income some thing nutritionally from the peelings. also, because the peels are a lot larger than the advised length of one million/3 the length of the catch, the plant heavily isn't able to apply it. The peels do no longer flow like stay prey will, so likely the traps will reopen interior of an afternoon and reject the peels as they could for any pretend alarms. otherwise, if he moved the peels somewhat at the same time as feeding the traps, they are going to attempt in ineffective to digest it and those 2 traps will rot and die. The plant as an finished should be advantageous, notwithstanding,

Take a large ice cream container and cut out the center leaving a one inch all the way around the cover. This will hold the plastic wrap tight across the top. Before stretching the plastic wrap and snapping on the cover add 1/4 cup of red wine (I use white zin). Once the wrap and cover are on tight take a tooth pick (tapered type) and poke holes throu the plastic wrap. The larger the ice cream container the better (i use one 10 inches across). Watch em drown. Everyday or two rinse out the trap and start over. Wow!

This may sound crazy, but it has worked 4 me.
Sometimes while waiting for bananas to get black for bread,
those little pests will show up. It was by chance that I discovered this. They were attracted to my libation of choice.
Get some of those small (1 oz.) plastic containers and fill
about half way with beer. For some reason, they like beer.
Leave a few in the infested area and they will go for a drink...
and...get caught in the liquid and meet their demise.
Dispose by flushing contents down the toilet.
Repeat as necessary.
