I am dying to know when my son is going to come. I have been experiencing alot of breast cramping, lower back pain, and those good ol' braxton hicks contractions. No other real signs of labor. Any clues? Also, my due date is 1/26, if i do not have my son by then. my doc should induce correct?

you should talk to your doctor about the possible of inducing.. but more than likely they induce 1-2 after the due date if you have not gone into labor.

No one can tell you when your baby is gonna come. He'll come when he is ready. Most doctor's will not induce until a week or two after your due date. You have a lot of good indicators for going into labor. I feel your pain, but you won't know until the day comes. Good luck.

Your doctor may not check you at any visits because if you've lost your plug it more of a chance of infection if he does check you. Most doctors won't induce until at least 2 weeks after your due date.So all I can say is be patient (I know that's hard especially if it's your first) but it will happen and when it does you will never forget the experience. So good luck and be patient!!

anymore, doctors dont like to do checkups to see if your dilated, due to increase in infections if they do it, your baby will come either way, and just because you lost your plug doesnt mean your nessessarily going to have the baby soon.. a mucus plug can reform after losing the first one, but just watch your contractions, and watch to see anymore signs of labor, and then on your next apointment you should tell your doctor and he/she might check ya.. but deff. when you are near your due date they should check ya..

& just because you are late, doesnt mean they are going to induce you right away, they might let you go a couple of weeks to see how you do and if you go into labor on your own, if you dont then they will induce you.

Congrats. and good luck

CHILL! let it happen...im glad your dr. hasnt checked you especially after losing your mucus plug...the more hands ...the more chance there is of an infection.....leave him alone and he'll come when he is good and ready...there is no need to induce the MINUTE he doesnt show up....the average pregnancy lasts 41 weeks and 1 day. there is plenty of time...in the meantime...enjoy a nap or two!
