What do I need to get started and what is the job like? What would I need to do? Also what should I look out for, are there any scams?

You pay a fee, every now and then you might get a survey to to mystery shop somewhere. Yes, it's the scams you look out for. Check out the company before you invest. It works like this...A company pays you a certain amount of money to shop in a store to rate them on their customer service, merchandise, etc. They give you money to buy items and you assess the store after you finish your purchase.
In order to start you need a secret shopping phone number or company address, and then you apply from calling or writing to them.

You shop in a store and report your experiences to the research company. You don't get to keep anything you buy.
Don't work for anyone who asks you for money.
