Personally, i occasionally have all-cold shower (EVEN in the winter) and sometime have a shot of cold-water after a warm shower. I heard that this helps blood circulation and tones skin/muscles, is that true?
What are the benefits?

It will wake you up, It IS good for your circulation and also on top of the other things the cold watter makes your body work harder to keep warm there for burning calories. the cold watter toneing is for people who swim in cold watter rather then hot watter

well if you live in a place like say, florida, cold showers (not freezing) that are just before lukewarm are easily adjusted to because its HOT. but if not then get in the shower while its warm and Slowly make it colder. only make it as cold as you are confortable with (your shower wants to be enjoyable) cold showers can keep your hair healthier. Warm showers dry out your hair (believe it or not) and open your pores allowing all the dirt from your hair to sink into your pores and possibly cause an acne outbreak. I'm not sure if does anything for your skin excpet prevent (partly) ance. Cold showers are also beneficial to the enviorment =] hope i helped.

It will wake you up, for sure. It will also increase your metabolism and heart rate a bit, because your body has to warm up.

It's almost like drinking a lot of ice cold water.

It won't help tone muscles though. You have to work out to do that.

Not only is it good for circulation, but I've also read that it is a mood enhancer for people who are depressed.
