I don't see why you need to make a statement at all.
Just go to prom.
If you treat it as a non event then it might be just that.
You might gets some looks from people but so what.
I'll bet most people will think, well, I didn't know that and move on with the evening.

How about not worrying about what a bunch of strangers that you're probably never going to see again have to say about your relationship? Just enjoy life. Be true to yourself. And have strong, honest relationships with the people that matter in your life.

Take your gf to prom, have a great time and if anyone questions or gives you dirty looks just flip them off or walk away. If they can't except you for who you are then they arn't good enough for you.
Good luck ;)

I agree just take her don’t make it a big deal because it shouldn’t be. You might get some rude stares but just ignore them and have a good time with your girlfriend and those who accept you for who you are.

just do it...take her to the prom...don't make a big deal out of it...and believe me you won't be seeing most of those people again in your life anyway.

er, don't bother coming out at your age, it won't make things better for you

wait until you go to college.... it's a more liberal environment.
