Yes. NFL rules state that once a ball goes ten yards on a kickoff it becomes a live football, and the team that downs it gains possession of it. This rule is why teams try onside kicks, and why announcers talk about the ball going ten yards whenever an onside kick is attempted.

It's the kicking teams possesion as long as the ball goes at least 10 yards. That's the rule on an onside kick, that the ball has to go at least 10 yards.

Whoever recovers the ball on any kick-off gets possession.

Years ago, a squib kick took such bad bounces that the kicking team recovered the ball in their opponents end-zone for a touchdown. I can't remember the teams, since I just saw the highlight on sports center.

It would be the same as an onsides kick. As long as it travels at least ten yards, the ball is live and if the kicking team recovers it - it is their ball.
