HD vs HD ready?

What the hell is HD ready? if i bought a tv that says that will i have HD or not? if not then how do i get it to look HD?

HD Ready means the tv is HD capable. If you have cable or satellite they will provide you with a box containing the digital tuner required for HD. Or you can buy a 50 dollar HD antenna and a 200 dollar HD digital tuner. If it says HD instead of HD READY then the tv already has a built in digital tuner. :-)
