You need a petroleum based substance to remove the gum first. Vaseline or baby oil does really well. The Vaseline is less messy and it washes off a lot easier. After the gum is removed apply a stain remover such as Shout! Then wash your jeans on cold (this prevents fading) in a really good detergent such as Tide. After they wash check your jeans again. If the spot is still there, repeat the process. If not dry them as directed on the label.

Just take some ice to it... it will make the gum really hard and you will be able to pry it off easier. There may be some residue left, just use some brown paper bag and an iron on low and that should do the trick
good luck

Put the jeans in the freezer for about an hour. When you take them out of the freezer, lay them flat on a table or the counter, put a butter knife under the edge and pop, off it comes.

No it will not come out in the wash. Try putting an ice cube on it, Freezing it and then try peeling it off. If that doesn't work try using margarine. Rub it on and it should come off. Spray with spray and wash or shout ater doing this to get the grease stain out.

Ice the gum down until it freezes, then scrape it off (it should come off in frozen chunks). Use the same technique to get gum off your shoes.

Put ice on it, scrape off what you can, then use GoodGone or OrangeClean and scrape off the rest.
