When i was a child i remember having a worm like "fish" that was striped orange and deep purple. and it use to always stay in the ceramic hut and would come out once in a while. didnt have fins' just a head and a long body and i guess a tail at the end if u could call it that it kinda looks like wormy on seasame street. does anyone know what kind this is? i want to get one when i get my fish tank. i know its not a do jo dont know if that is how its spelled but i saw one in the store looks simular but not it . thanks for any help.

dont know if it was salt water or not or if he did have tiny fins was a long time ago. but i think he was with goldfish?

It sounds like a coolie loach!! They are 4 inches long, yellow-orange with either deep purple, black or brown bandings. They're shy, and like to hide in places(like ur ceramic hut!) The body shape is really special, like an eel's. hope this helps!

it sounds like a saltwater fish i saw at the store the other day. He was beautiful. He was long and kinda wormy but did have fins. He was yellow and purple. Um... Im not farmiliar with saltwater (im assuming your talking about saltwater b/c they are much more colorful than freshwater). Maybe a blennie of some kind?

first off you didn't say if it was salt or fresh water......there are fresh water tropicals that are very unusual in appearance ....as well a many many more in the oceans
