I think that you should tell. It's really hard to tell someone but then on the other hand its even harder loosing your best friend. If you honestly care about her you would do whats best and get her help and get her away from the people that she is with. You want to do this as soon as you can because you never know when she can really do something that could endanger her. And I know that you wouldnt want that. Do whats right and tell a trusted adult ASAP!

Sounds like your in a bit of a pickle.

Firstly, if they havent been already, you should report her parents to the police, or other law enforcement department.

Secondly, if her grandmother hates her, theres not much she can do about that. She just has to live with it, theres nothing she can do.

As for the cutting, the only thing that can stop it is your friend. It sounds like she is a very nice person, but has had a rough upbringing. I think you should just keep telling her that there are better things to do then cut herself. Focus on the positive things in life, like friends.

And if all else fails, and she continues to cut, you should consider adopting her. This has worked before, and if you love you friend, it would be great if you could live with her. Just ask your parents first.

Good Luck =)

The best thing you can do is continue to be her friend. Never let her forget that someone DOES care for her. Try to get her going out and get her mingling with new people. If that doesn't work, and your friendship is strong enough, suggest that she stay with you for a few days

I'm afraid this is a much bigger problem that Y/A could handle. I would tell a school counselor or teacher that you trust that you are worried about her. Get her some help NOW!

She needs some serious professional counselling. Can you tell a trusted adult (your parents, a teacher, etc.) to contact Child Protection Services on behalf of your friend?

have her sleep over and don't have any things that she could cut herself on. and calmly have a discussion with her about how that makes you feel. or have a bunch of friends who care about her and do the same thing i surely hope it work out. i feel real sorry she does that. but its not her fault. It is her emotions taking over.

you need to tell a teacher or counselor about it if her parents won't help. They can get her the help she needs. You are a good friend and don't think that you are a snitch if you tell, you may be saving her life.
