Your acne is caused from the hormones in your blood. I had severe acne too, and I was on Accutane for six months and it finally cured it. Be patient. No face wash will help much with the acne other than using ones with salicylic acid in them. Neutrogena and Biore have good ones. More expensive guarantees nothing. Stick with the medicine and your doctor should be giving you names of products to be using. If not, ask, and they might be able to help you too. Stieffel brand is often prescribed by derma docs. Good luck!

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Try Bonne Belle 1006 lotion. It has been on the market since I was a teenager - a looooong time ago! It is brilliant for correcting the oil balance of your skin, without being too harsh. It contains, among other things, a mild salycylic acid solution and resorcinol which deep clean the skin and the pores and gently exfoliate. And it contains no added moisturisers etc to clog your skin. It is a simple wipe on, wipe off lotion, no soap, water etc. It has been readily available here in Australia for over 40 years and is a US product so should be easy to obtain there from chemists and even big department stores. I can't recommend it highly enough. Here it is about $A12 for a bottle which lasts the two of us (my daughter and myself) for about 2 months. Because it is so quick and easy to use (5 minutes tops) there is more incentive to keep up the twice daily routine. Good luck. I hope you can find it there.

I had severe acne when I was your age too. It is no fun that is for sure. I took accutane for 6 months, and my skin is clear. It was like a miracle for me.
To my knowledge there is no facial wash that will work. (Believe me I tried EVERYTHING) It has to be something that works on the chemical imbalance in your system.
Oral antibiotics worked for a long time, but the accutane was the real "cure".
Good luck, I know how painful teenage acne can be.

Remember, first off, that it's very important to watch what you eat. Think of the diet that you're on now, regardless of your weight, and know that limiting your intake of some items will really help. This is always better than chemicals. You will see drastic changes if you do this. I know it's tough to do because you want your skin to change NOW, but really give it some thought. Face washes and whatnot are temporary anyways.

This is not a wash--- it's a pill. My sister uses and it help soo much!!! I'm amazed. It's called "Acne Pill" from Loma Lux. You will have to take from 1 to 4 pill everyday according to your weight. It REALLY helps. I know how you frustrated you feel when nothing works and I really hope this helps. Good luck to you!!!

I wish I still had all the uses for hydrogen peroxide but one of the uses for it was for acne. Try it. My advice though is don't let acne get ya down.

one of the hard things about acne is that there's so many products to try. i've probably tried like 20 different products, until i settled on a product called beautiful skin. it's a whole regimen that, in my opinion, works better than proactiv.
