Hate is a strong feeling, just as strong as love. Both invoke deeply instense feelings and just as love takes time to grow and needs something to feed on so to speak so does hate. When you say you hate someone you are saying you have a lot of feelings for the person. I think this is where the term comes from. Just expressing how hating someone is giving them a lot its a feeling almost equal to love. To say you were indifferent about someone would be more acurate to someone you just didnt care for but to hate that's a big deal and you must care a great deal therefor to actually hate someone..... best I can do right now

While you can love and hate someone at the same time you really don't even have to come close to loving someone to hate them, the emotions are so separated and it's far easier to hate than love, well maybe. There's a lot of people I hate and there's no way I love them. Not even close at all.

music author James Taylor wrote: "there's a feeling like the clinching of a fist; there's a starvation interior the middle of the chest. there's a passage during the darkness and the mist. And `however the physique sleeps, the middle will in no way relax". This of course shows that it extremely is lots greater straightforward to love, than to hate!!

Well, if i could choose to have one, id probably choose love, but in this world, hate is safer than love, and besides noone could ever love me, so i have to hate, just to stop my heart from breaking into a million peices. Love is a death trap, hate a depressing burden you can never be rid of that protects you from love. take your pick!

Of course not. You dont even have to like them to hate them. However most people have loved someone and then started to hate them but i dont believe you have to love someone to hate them.

NO DEAR YOU DONT HAVE TO LOVE SOME ONE TO HATE THEM. LOVE IS A FEELING THT BRINGS THE BEST IN ANYONE. BUT HATE IS A FEELING THAT WILL BRING THE WORSE IN ANYONE ... IF YOU LET IT.

FOR EXAMPLE: MY NEPHEW WAS KILLED IN A CAR ACCIDENT, THIS MARCH 29 2007 WILL BE ONE YEAR. THE KID THAT HIT HIM TOLD ME MY NEPHEW GOT IN MY WAY. AND LIKE A BUG I CRUSH HIM AND LAUGHED. I TOLD HIM, DONT WORRY, YOU THINK THIS IS PAIN FOR ME, YOU TOOK THE ONE PERSON I LOVED THE MOST, THERE IS NOTHING ELSE YOU CAN EVER DO TO THIS FAMILY, BUT YOUR HELL WILL LAST A LIFETIME.

HE ASK ME IF I HATE HIM FOR WHAT HE DID, I TURN AND SAID THAT IS MY ANSWER WAS EASY BUT NOT BELIVEBLE ... HE ASK AGAIN. I SIMPLE SAID NO. AND WALKED AWAY.

Nope, I hate mass murders and never loved a one of them. You can learn to hate someone you loved if you felt used in some way

You could definately hate someone without loving them. What if a stranger runs over your pet, you don't know them much less love them - but I'm sure you're going to hate them (unless you hated your pet).

Who told you that? Love is caring for another being; hate is caring for another being also but in a very different way. The opposites of both of these conditions are not each other but rather, indifference.

I don't think so, but that's just my opinion. It's sorta like being bullied. You hate them for ruining you day EVERY day, and you never loved them to begin with.
