should i get my nose pierced? i really want to, but i'm afraid of being labled. my family is ok with it, but will people judge me at work/school?

Everyone is judged for everything these days. Don't worry about other people. What others think of you is none of your business. What matters is how you feel about yourself. Would a pierced nose make you feel more confident? Do you feel you'd look attractive with a pierced nose? If so, go for it. But if you are in constant fear of what people think of you don't. I've had piercings and I can guarantee you you will get judged.

Judgements are always made by all humans. IT gets back to the caverns time: in a way to be alive, you need to recognise who can be dangerous in any way.
Is biological. Society and media also impose its ideals on appeareance.
If "You are afraid" but you want it badly, just proceed BUT use your personality and clothing to express that you are not what your environment thinks of someone with its nose pierced.
Just thing this: a 20 pound wrestler has its piercing.. does anyone makes funny of him? A guy with a gun or a Ferrari is nose pierced..do you think he cares about what someone tries to impose of him as an opinion?
Worse than that.. would you stop living your life and live based on everyone`s opinion instead of yours? How happy woyuld you be if none of your ideals and ideas where accepted?
Did DaVinci fill afraid of writing backwards? Did Madonna stopped when someone said they did not like what she did in her shows? mmm...
Be yourself, but avoid transpassing someone else`s boundaries. If you ask your friends and coworkers if they would not accept you because of a piercing... I am almost sure you will find out if they are friends... or just coworkers....

Yes I think if it's okay with your family & you've made the decision to get it pierced go for it. I have mine done & it wasn't until I was 36 years old. You can get some real awesome nose studs as well. I love having my nose pierced & I've never had any bad remarks from people. So it's up to you now so what decision you make it'll be the right one.

I definitely think you should get it pierced! I had mine done and I think it looks really nice. Not many people judge any way- so many people are getting piercings these days. Some jobs will make you take it out though - depending on the field you go into.

if its small and a silver color ( not black and big ) then no one is going to judge you. Im probibly the preppiest girl in my school and if i got a nose ring thats small and non colored, no one would judge me or anyone else. It looks cute, kind of like the kelly clarkson nose ring, if you search her and you see a pic of her nose ring, than yeah you should get it done if you want to. Dont worry what others will think, just keep it small and non-colored

if you really want to get your noised pierced then you should do it. it doesnt matter what people think it matters how you feel. oh yeah....does anybody know the song that was played in one tree hill season 2 where nathan crashes the race car? i think the lyrics are: like a man falls out or something. im dying to get this song.

If you are insecure with doing this (otherwise why would you be posting for strangers opinions) maybe its not the right decision for you. I don't have my nose pierced although I have several friends in successful professions who have theirs pierced.

No think about it first. It iis something that will be permanate.Do not do it, even if you are slightly undecided about wether to do it or not. Expression is great. Try art or poetry or something constructive that you can give back to the world and make yourself happy. Remember no on judges you, make yourself happy.

Wll, i wouldn't. I heard that it can get infected. plus, it depends where u get it pierced
