For middle school basketball players, do you think this is true?? Basketball is all about making yourself a stronger person. One day at practice my coahc got mad cause we weren't doing so swell and she explained to us that that's what basketball is about at this age. She said if we can't know what we are doing and when to do it, how will we be able to make decisions later in life, like dating, and jobs, and drugs!?!?! I believe her, do u guys?

My coach doesn't think she is all that either, even though she could have gone to the WNBA because she doesn't know that all of us know she got offered to go.

Kinda. Sports is about discipline and so is life. You learn a lot about yourself while playing sports as well as learning great life lessons. People who play organized sports have a better chance at being successful at life. No joke.

You shouldn't look at it like that. If you want to play basketball because you love to play, then it will do good things for you, but if you are playing it to make yourself into a stronger person then I suggest you don't play. You should be playing to have fun.

You have your ups and downs in sports just as in life.

In sports after a hard fought out game you have to give it your all till the last second ,just like life. Listen to your coach dont be a dork and think your coach is full of it.

Your in middle school- you shouldn't take it so seriously- yes it's going to help you with discipline, help to build character and help with self-confidence. You need to have fun too though. I can guaratee that if you don't play well it won't affect your decisions in life- that's your choice- and what matters when it comes to that is how you were raised and the type of society you live in.
