early bloomer. she can use pads until she is ready. at that age, a tampon may even be dangerous.

Well I know for sure if I had gotten my period at 7 years old I wouldnt want to wear a tampon...In fact i don't think i even knew what a tampon was lol.

She is just going through puberty earlier than most kids but theres nothing to worry about. Some kids...or should i say girls...get their periods anywhere from 7 or 8 to 16 or 17...it all depends on how fast they mature.

I wouldnt worry about the tampon part just yet it could be dangerous for a 7 year old. Pads are fine until she gets more used to her period. Goood luck,

Some people say that girls are getting their periods earlier because of all the preservatives, possible hormones and "crap" that is in the food we eat. I don't know if this has been studied, but it makes me wonder.
You do have to take into consideration your age when you first got your period. I've heard that there is some correlation between mother and daughters.
I wouldn't use tampons yet, as her body is still growing and developing. Pads are the best.

You should have her pediatrician check her out. She is going through precocious puberty, and may need some lab work and x-rays to make sure there is not a negative reason for it. An early puberty will affect bone growth, etc..
She's too young to wear tampons. Get her some slim pads and make things easier on her.
Take her to the doctor.

I would talk to her Doctor. There are a lot of risk factors when it comes to starting your period so early. She should not wear tampons at such a young age. That is to much for her to handle. I would only let her use pads.

While girls are developing earlier than they used to, 7 still seems awfully young. I have heard of some cases where girls develop early, but then stop growing, so they end up much shorter in stature than they would otherwise and at risk for a variety of health problems. I would strongly suggest taking her to see a doctor and possibly an endocrinologist.

Some girls get their period early. I would give a pad to wear. I don't blame her not wanting to use a tampon, at this age she probably doesn't know much about sex so asking her to use a tampon is probably pretty scary and uncomfortable. Talk with Dr about it

I'm sorry, that is very young. But that age is getting more normal than ever for girls to get their periods.
Try talking to her about it, and maybe try pads instead of tampons. You can also go to a doctor who can help as well.

I wish you luck! :)

some people say hormones (like in chicken and stuff), others say genetics...who knows....but if she doesn't feel comfortable wearing tampons that's okay. That seems really young though, I would take her to the doctor just for general check up.
