We attempt to teach children that violence isn't the answer b/c there are too many children killing one another. We teach students about battles between countries b/c we are hoping they won't follow in path. And, maybe find alternative ways to hinder going to war. Why? We don't want people to repeat history, but at the end of the day children will have to make the decision to heed to the advice or not.

i don't believe violence IS the answer, however, can you imagine what would have happened if the Founding Fathers had the same opinion? Or FDR?

Violence isn't the answer many times. Sometimes, when all else fails, it is the only option. I am not a violent man. That being said, Heaven help the person who tries to harm my wife or daughter. I'd be more than violent, and I'd be very efficient about it. Some things are worth fighting for.
