Wanting to become Shy?

Question

I'm a very shy person already but I get confortable around people too fast which causes me to talk too much and then I feel stupid and feel useless.So I need a way to turn me completly shy. Help.

Do more active listening. Sounds like you are forcing your conversation. Speak only when you have something to add to the conversation. You'll be surprised at how smart you'll appear. Becoming more shy is not a solution.

I might know what you are talking about.

I am, too, a very shy person, but I like to express myself. So, when I get a chance I talk to much by saying too many stupid things. Basically, I think too much before I talk. I am changing this by not being a shy person and if I feel I don't need to talk, I push myself to pass the opportunity to talk since I know I will say stupid things. Normally, now I just talk as much and try to move away from shyness.

I think I know what you mean...i'm that way too. I think i get nervous around some people, but then when i talk to them i tend to just say a lot of stuff that makes me feel useless or uminmportant, like you said. Instead of just not saying anything at all, i'm trying to act more intelligent and collect my thoughts before i actually say something. its not good to say nothing, because then people will think of you as uneducated. Just try thinking about what you're saying before you actually say it.

when your too shy, you become boring because Im shy 2 at school because I feel uncomfortable there. so you should be your self and dont try to be someone you are not.

im kinda show also.....in certain situations....but i realized that u arent gonna learn anythin and meet new people in life if i act that way......so u just have to boss up and get over your shyness it may seem hard but there's no solution that will b easy
