Spanish town historically was Jamaica's first true capital until it was transfer ed to Kingston,because of the historical facts it is a City in its own rights,however this is not observe by some sections of society,and maybe new definitions of what a city should be in the 20 first century,therefore it is not a Kingston and A Montego bay.
Originally settle by the Spanish(1494 to 1655) Jamaica was once part of Spain's empire with its name being Villa de la Vega( Spanish town), and had Govern er Fransisco DE Fray as its govern er.
Today Spanish Town is a sprawling area of development of more than 110,000 people, or more as that was an estimate in 92'and is the manufacturing section of the island for agricultural produce,to many young Jamaicans Spanish town,is just another town,not yet a City.
