Stephen King never gave a specific religion, he didn't even use the word "Christian" to describe Carrie's mother's religion.

that's a brilliant e book, his first actual. it particularly is particularly violent and uncooked. even though it incredibly makes you think of two times approximately being merciless to those that're "outcast". A mature 14-year-previous wouldn't have a situation with it.

Carrie's mother is an Evangelical Christian.
That's why she's "out there" and radical. Evangelists believe it is there duty to preach
there beliefs openly and in everything they do....Hopefully not to those extremes though!!!
