Assuming you mean "aviator" instead of avatar (like the little pic, y'know?) - she was an excellent aviator. She had a drunk incompetent guy for a navigator.

She was a great pilot but the instrumentation in those days left much to be desired.

I heard a radio show where it was talked about the fact that she was shot down,taken prisoner and executed by the Japanese for being a spy. Which she was.
