enable encryption (use something like WEP). This will ask the user connecting to the router for a password.

Ok , first you need to log into your router and look into a field that says either security or lan security or wireless security , there it should be field call WEP KEY encryption , if you want more help send me the model and make of the router

You can use a fire wall but I would not worry to much about that happening as it is not that easy for someone to do.
