Here in Saipan, this brings up an interesting dilemma. I know a guy who is half German, a quarter French and a quarter English who is married to a Japanese. Their first son is going to junior high school.
The parents had to answer on a form what their ethnic background is, and the father didn't want to write caucasian or white since those are not ethnic backgrounds. He wrote down German, French, English. The mother, of course, wrote Japanese.
The school keeps a record of the ethnic backgrounds of the students, and the ethnic background here follows the father, not the mother. So the boy is listed as German. It doesn't matter that he is half Japanese and only a quarter German descent, he is German.
What should white people write for ethnic background? A long list of where there ancestors are from. Whether you want to cut "American" from the end is up to you.

Well if you have some heritage from the native Americans then you have an Asian heritage, the Yellow race, with the Lebanese then you also have the Caucasian race in you. Lebanese, Turkish, Arabs they are Caucasians. We Asians are either the Yellow or Brown. Good thing for you, you are multi-color just like the rainbow, Good Luck for your color searching. To make it easier for you just check American coz you are an American citizen. Don't worry too much about that, just be happy.

White/Caucasian refers to the light pale skin color most often associated with the descendants of Noah's son Japeth.
Japeth's descendants generally moved northward from the landing site of the Ark and settled in the Caucasus Mountains in Asia. (Hence, "Caucasian")
Consistent exposure to the sun can effect the production of melanin in the skin, making it darker as a protection against the harmful effects of the sun.
So, essentially, you are still just "white."
Race is not the same as nationality.

Some standardized tests that elementary schools, highscools, and colleges use have now put in a different system where you get the option of "other". If you want to, you can always just darken in whatever you are and make the race box invalid - damn the man, save the empire.

there should be more choices or else none. they do not need to know what your ethnicity is.
The whites are somehow associated with their origins being in the causasus mountain regions of northeastern europe, or southwestern Asia, whichever is your point of reference. They spread out into india and other more western places gradually. They were the Aryan race of militaristic paternalistic nomads. they merges with the darker races they encountered along the way.

Like Heinz 57, or Mutt.
You usually go, Mother-Father, Grandparents. Going back
further thins the racial linkage. So you have more white in
your bloodline, and in you it shows.

OH, just get over yourself!!
there is not room on apps to put every damn race out there.
Pick the one you are the MOST of and choose it. And if it bothers you that much, choose other.
