The only one that I know of that had a model designation consisting of three letters starting with "S" was the SVX. It was a car before its time. Apparently it has a problem of getting dirty in side the headlights. (Read the next two questions.)
It also had the nickname "SUX" from non-believers. _Car_&_Driver_ reprinted a classified ad several years back where someone was advertising a "SUBARU SUX" for sale.

STI
It's the top of the line model of the Subaru WRX. 300 bhp, 300 lbs of torque, and all driving attitude.

SVX.
STi is technically a Impreza WRX STi, however, they are commonly referred to as just STi's.
Was this car seen somewhere? The easiest telltale to which it is is whether or not is had a huge (likr 10" or so) spoiler on the back.
