It's wonderful to see our diversity in action. I'm proud to live in a country where a woman can attain such power.

I just do not agree with either the far left or the far right.
both sides sends shivers down my spine.

Pelosi is a hateful person who is dumber than Bush. Hillary fits in the middle somehow. Pelosi broke many of her promises and commitments made before the election. She is a flip-flopper and since she is from San Francisco she is a TRUE left-winger. I wouldn't give you a wooden nickel for her. Other than that she isn't so bad.

Her politics, her dishonesty and her attitude.

In addition, even if I was a liberal Dem, I still wouldn't put her in charge of anything. The best Speakers have been those who've kept a low profile, making the Congress run in an orderly fashion. The worst are usually the high-profile types, who keep their name in the press constantly.

You've seen the beginning of the Dem House disintegration already (witness Barney Frank's meltdown while running House debate), as well as the Global Warming task force (incurring the ire of Sander Levin and others), as well as the reaction of Senate Dems to the "100 hours" legislation.

I'm a man, and a moderate Democrat....I like most of what she does.....one heck of a difference from all the unethical things the last few years...ahhhh, an open window...I don't care that she is a woman, I hope she doesn't do stupid things like the past leaders and keeps her position for many years to come

This man likes both her gender and her politics. What in the world makes you think otherwise? Jealousy?

I don't like her politics. I have no problem with her gender. I like women.

Politics. I only hope she doesn't start to compromise ( like she already has on deciding not to challenge the President on funding for the 21,500 troops ).

To Charles - you don't even know what a Marxist is!

When she starts screeching and screaming her voice is like nails on a chalk board other than that I don't think women can screw-up the world any more than men have

I like her because she is not afraid(in the male-dominated world) to speak her mind and does not care who knows it either. She is basically stating what every woman or even every man that has two b**ls is afraid to state. And that is something else in today's society. I applaud her.
