I have heard that black holes can suck in everything, including light, since their gravity is so strong, but what happens to everything that is sucked up by the black hole? What happens to the light?

It might help you if you understand what the "event horizon" is. It is the point nearest to the black hole at which gravity is high enough to capture all light and matter. In a spinning black hole, as all black holes we have seen are doing, this point is a thin disk around its equator. What also happens is that at this point, time becomes infinitely long because the higher the gravity, the slower time moves. This was proven by satellites with atomic clocks orbiting the earth which showed that time goes faster there than on the earth's surface where gravity is higher. Anyway, by the time light or matter reaches the event horizon, time stops so they never actually touch the surface of the black hole as seen here on earth. Light just disappears in the disk as it becomes infinitely red which, of course, our eyes can not see. The only thing that escapes the black hole's influence is Hawking's radiation and gravity, as explain by others. And don't ask me why gravity escapes. That's another question and answer that we don't entirely understand. Maybe you'll be the one to answer it. Think on that one!

According to General Relativity, they vanish permanently into a mathematical singularity. However, some physicists today, such as Stephen Hawkings, reject the idea that information could be lost, so any entropy of the matter already gone past the event horizon is retained at its event horizon. Check link on "black hole thermodynamics" Even if black holes were to quit swallowing matter, they will eventually fritter way via "Hawking radiation", which is a quantum effect occuring at the event horizon boundary. In other words, energy and stuff falling into a black hole doesn't *really* vanish forever after all.

Black holes observed by astronomers do in fact emit radiation, in contradiction to the earlier picture of black holes as being truly "black".

The object starts to fall towards the black hole, it becomes stretched as gravtiy acts on it.

As it falls closer to the event horizon, it becomes stretched more until a point called spagettification.

Things become worse as it crosses the event horizon and the singularity, the object becomes compressed by gravity.

At this point all the laws of current physics end and we do not know what happens next.

Light cannot escape because it exists as waves and particles, as a result it cannot escape.

well from what I can think object are the black holes food in other words the more a black hole eats the bigger it will get cut all the objects it pulls in and it will eventually die due to lack of energy so what I think is it is compressed to a point where its molecular structer breaks down and all its molocules go everywhere and all of that is converted into energy for the black hole again a food soucre if you will for the black hole

light,matter and energy is transformed into mass which eventually adds to the total mass of the blackhole
