Go to the police. They have the resources to track the number. Changing the number may not stop the harassment. May even cause the problem to escalate. When some offender may start acting out the threats. If you truly believe the threats, get law enforcement involved as soon as possible.

I would call Cingular and ask them what to do. If they are threatening, I would contact the police. Let the police find out the number.

You can probably go to cingular and get the number changed, going to the cops wont be neccesary unless this person is making threats that they will hurt you or your girlfriend, or cause harm to you guys in any way.

Most cell phone companies will change the number for free if they know the circumstances. I had that problem too, and it was no problem to change numbers. No fee, either.

the police are able to track these numbers if you truely feel threatend. if it is someone you know and you are not truely scared for your life then just change your number.

I think the police can only track it if they're on the phone or something. I don't think they can get it if they've already hung up.
