I would definately go with the 70s. classic rock's roots that still grow strong to this day. Also, you can't knock the back in the day tunes and the start of hip-hop if you like that.

While the 80s had there great moments, such as MotleyCrue, Metallica , Slayer and alot of other good metal bands, the 70s had alot of great music which aloud these great bands of later decades to happen. The 70s had anything you wanted to hear. There seemed to be alot more variety of music to choose from in the 70s.

I was born in the 70's so i would say the 80's when i got into music,don't get me wrong there is great music from 70's

Really hard to decide. The 70's had the "classic" sounds but the 80's had the "newer" sounds. Love both decades (my band has these "influiantial" traits) But myself I am partial to the '80's.

For rock, the 70's. No rock was made in the 80's. But because of teh 80's I was exposed to different genres. I came to like jazz a bit. New Wave and Punk too. What the hell was all that Poison and crap. Travesty!

hmmmm i think i like the 50's and 60's more even tho i wasn't born until the 70's but i would have to say that the 80's were a fun time for music, especially with Michael Jackson and now look where he is,lol
