Dockers and a polo shirt, or a dress shirt, button down collar, etc.

Business casual means so many different things to different people. You can get away with a long sleeve button down shirt and a pair of slacks or khakis these days just about anywhere and for any business situation. Depending upon your industry, job, etc. The best way to gage proper attire is to follow what your boss or supervisor wears. Bottom line is make sure you iron before you had out the door or even the best outfit will look cheesy!

You should have said you were a guy, I guess it just means no jeans and something you wouldn't go to a football game with. First of all focus on a nice (that's right) leather shoes this are nice yet confortable http://www.flcrooks.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3213 but if you have a meeting or something go with theese http://www.flcrooks.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3218 at first you'll feel oh no this is not me, I'm going to slip and fall BUT don't worry you'll be fine and you'll probably get a lot of nice looks from chiks in the process, then take a look at your hair and try to think Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Ashton Kutcher... Go to a nice salon INVEST on that. The rest is history I mean the advices of everyone else is very good pants and Long-Sleeve shirt. You don't necesarely need a tie but you should have one handy, and for winter get a nice coat that you really like and goes with everything because people are gonna see that everyday. and that's it. Good Luck, sorry if I thought you were a girl before :)

Typically if you are a male, business casual usually means like dockers and a polo shirt. But if you usually wear a suit to work than business casual would mean slacks and a dress shirt w/out a tie. So I guess it really depends in the type of office that you work at...

Ok , for winter/fall, blue, brown, grey slacks,NOT jeans not dress pants, matching sports jacket or sweaters or knit vest. Nothing too garish or odd colours or wild patterns . Crew neck sweaters always look nice . Long sleeve shirts in coordinating colours. A turtle neck now and then , but not often. You won't need a tie if it 's business casual. You can wear the jacket over the shirt and sweater or vest and take it off if it gets to warm. Nice shoes, no runners or workboots, coordinating socks. Trust me the Miami Vice look from the 80s is passe with no socks in loafers.

Spring open coloured shirt, long or short sleeves, lighter coloured pants, khakis. Again sports jacket that matches, no sandals, no runners, nice shoes nothing too dressy.

Summer could be short sleeves open shirts, nothing too loud , stick to lighter colours that look good on you, a mensware shop should be able to help you coordinate.

However you should always have a dress suit in your wardrobe either black or dark navy, grey.
Even a nice navy blazer is always good to have in one's closet. Same with some ties, nothing with wild patterns, coordinate them with your button down shirts for more formal attire.

It doesn't have to be Hugo Boss or Armani, you can look good with lesser name men's ware, as long as it's neat and clean and pressed.

here's wat u do:u can wear ur business jacket but under it wear a long sleeved shirt with a collar, y 'kno with the buttons in the front, that or a polo and "pop the colla" so it goes over the jacket.
u can wear some jeans with ur outfit but make sure they're not stonewashed or anything (like no rips)(i suggest darker jeans).
As for your shoes go casual(but not too casual).

No jeans
no sneakers
no t-shirts
no holes
no rips
no stains
no logos
no baseball hats

That's about it. Just about anything else goes.
