If you're talking about hard drives, manufacturers use the traditional relationships to compute capacity. A megabyte is 1,000 kilobytes, so 100,000 kilobytes is 100 megabytes.
If you're talking about anything else, quantities of bytes are measured in powers of 2. A kilobyte is 2 to the 10th power bytes, or 1,024 bytes. A megabyte is 1,024 kilobytes. So, your 100,000 kilobyte whatever would be 97.65625 megabytes.
