The spider?

Maybe it was a reference to Christ. Kerry Livgren's Christian beliefs found there way into the music of Kansas.

"before he could tell us he died, when he left us the people cried, oh, what were we gonna do?"

I don't really know. Good question though! Now you have me wondering. Gonna have to run upstairs and crank it up!
